I was just chatting with Deb Avert, co-owner of Toolulu. and co-founder of Lincoln's Social Media Club, trying to set her and her partner/co-founder Christy Nelson up for my Blog Talk Radio Show when she mentioned that she missed me at the club meeting.

Whoops!  I wrote down that the meeting is this coming Wednesday.  Deb is my hero for saving me from an hour drive to sit and wait in futility for the rest of the club to show up.  I have the next meeting written down though.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009,7:00pm - 9:00pm, Red9, 322 S 9th Street, Lincoln, NE

I'm planning not to miss this one. (Not that I planned to miss the last one . . .  I was very excited to hear Ali discuss online and offline image and sad I missed it.) Jay Wilkinson from Firespring will be discussing How Technology and Social Media are Transforming the Way We Do Business.  Very important stuff there.  For more details, visit the Social Media Facebook page.

In my professional opinion, all the authors in the Lincoln area need to attend.  Social media is a VITAL part of being an author.

I am interested in ideas on who would make interesting interviews. From authors to agents to publishers, let me know what you are interested in listening to.

I am interviewing Carlton Davis about his latest memoir, Bipolar Bare. Tune in to hear about his projects, his marketing tactics as well as suggestions for new authors. I will have a FREE copy to give out to one lucky listener who contacts me before the interview with a question! Check out Carlton's website for more information on him. http://www.bipolarbarebook.com/meet-carlton-davis Want more information about your host? www.sabrinasumsion.com

I went to my first library board meeting yesterday.  It was a positive experience and I am excited about helping out.  I will be developing a website for the library as well as helping get some events started.

The biggest event I would like to see started right away is a book group.  The book group is the motivation behind my newest publicity tip.  Are you registered?  If not, register today and go read the new publicity tip.

I am starting to build Dwight's library website.  Check it out!
