Endorsement from Connie CrowI just received an email from Connie Crow who helped organize the Nebraska Writers Guild Fall Conference. I got the chance to chat with her for a few minutes and talk about the publicity and marketing for her books. Because Connie is a pioneer in e-publishing, we were a little more limited on the publicity and marketing options but I felt we brainstormed some gems. Here is what she had to say: "I spent 15 minutes with Sabrina and got 5 ideas for publicity on the Internet that I could implement immediately for ZERO dollars. A great idea once every three minutes? What a gal! "

Connie is such a sweet lady and I encourage everyone to look up her writing. She is also an expert on doll collecting if you also share that passion. For more information on Connie, check out her blog: The Crow's Nest. Add new comment

Nebraska Writers Guild Fall ConferenceI was delighted to present at the Nebraska Writers Guild's Fall Conference in Kearney this weekend. As soon as I have pictures, I will post them here. Unfortunately, I was so busy talking to people I forgot to take pictures with my camera so I will be begging copies off of others. The conference started with an open mic and we had several very talented writers and poets share their musings. One of those was my mother whom I dragged along with me. She shared the beginnings of her youth novel and she had the audience in stitches. I am so proud of her! I presented on Grab 'Em by the Nose Hairs: How to Develop Powerful, Attention-Getting Hooks. We had so much fun working together on finding hooks we could use and finding ways to make them as catchy as possible. I wonder how many other writers groups are out there and would be interested in learning about publicity for their writing . . . |
